Devotion
This original painting features
six textured
panels. This is Guy's first piece with curved
panels instead of the straight edged geometry. The
flowing curved panel shapes cast shadows on the wall and
adds visual depth to the painting. The central panel
comes out further than the surrounding pieces which
makes the painting seem to come life and rise off
the wall.
The subject
matter has Two Honu petroglyphs (Sea Turtle in
Hawaiian is called Honu). This piece is easy to hang
and only requires one standard picture frame hook
which is included.
Accompanying this piece
is also a signed and dated paintbrush that was used
by Guy Junker in the creation of the painting
Devotion.
"This is my first piece with curved panels. It
requires building the panels slightly different than
with straight edged geometry. I particularly
like how the layout of the separate panels mimic the
cracks in the rocks in the painting."
