Heiwa #8

The Japanese calligraphy in this carving roughly translates to "Peace". Heiwa consists of two characters "Hei" and "Wa".

"Hei" can translate to mean Even or Calm, while "Wa" expresses harmony. Together the characters represent the idea of even harmony or peace.

The back of the carving features a translation of the kanji characters and a short artist bio. The piece is also signed and dated by the artist.

If you would like a special dedication on the back, just add your wording in the "Special Instructions" box at final checkout.  Here is an example

"This carving has a nice diagonal texture with soft coloring.  It has warm greys and hints of yellow ochre, with nice contrast with the calligraphy characters."
