Honu Waves
This painting features three Hawaiian Honu (sea
turtle) petroglyhs and has warm yellow greens to
cooler blue greens.
A wonderful sense of movement is captured
by the gentle wave shape of the panel. Guy's traditional glazing techniques, which slowly build
up luminescent colors with layer upon careful
layer, adds wonderful details when viewed up close.
"This painting is the first petroglph
painting of mine that features the curved wave
style panel. Developing the panel itself
took some time and inginuity but I am so pleased
with how this paitning looks on the wall. It
is truly a painting that is also a sculpture."
