This original painting was inspired by the petroglyphs and pictograms around Moab Utah, particluarly in the Potash Byway.  This shaman warrior wears horns and earrings while wielding a spear and shield.

There are several layers of textured panels on this painting and the image is painted around the edeges.  There are elements of action (poured) painting which adds energy and motion to the piece.  A very contemporary piece with ties to ancient traditions.
