These
elegant wall sculptures are created by hand using natural stone, hemp
and bamboo. The designs exclusive to Guy Junker Studios and are
sandblasted into the stone and hand highlighted with metallic pigments.
Different
types of stone are used including Chinese Slate, Purple Slate, and
Chinese Quartzite. Each piece of stone is unique and will have varying
color and texture. Every carving is made by Maui artist Guy Junker and
is signed and dated on the back. An artist certificate is also attached
to the back of each piece and includes history about the specific
design or translation of Japanese Kanji characters.
