Surfing
was started by the Polynesians and was first documented by Captain Cook
during his visit to Hawaii Islands during the 1700's. The first
surfboards were made of solid wood and could weigh over 150 pounds.
The back of the carving features a history of the petroglyph and a
short artist bio. The piece is also signed and dated by the artist.
