Uncharted Waters

This original painting features five textured panels.  The shapes of the panels add significant movement to the piece and .  The flowing curved panels cast shadows on the wall and adds visual depth to the painting.

The panels are heavily textured to add visual and color interest to the pieces.

The central panel comes out further than the surrounding pieces which makes the painting seem to come life and rise off the wall.

The subject matter has two Hawaiian canoe paddler petroglyphs.  This piece is easy to hang and only requires one standard picture frame hook which is included. 

Accompanying this piece is also a signed and dated paintbrush that was used by Guy Junker in the creation of the painting Uncharted Waters.

"While a friend was viewing this painting, he jokingly asked if I was on drugs when I made this piece.....  Only espresso and the occasional Padron 1964 Series cigar was my answer.   But it got me thinking.  Many people see this style of panel painting as very wild and 'out there', however it requires significant planning, color theory (with respect to glazing) and some fairly straightforward algebra.  I am very pleased that something that takes careful consideration and planning appears to be wild and dreamlike.  That means that I am on the right track and have ventured into my own uncharted waters... "
